NOTE:

An Other Theater Company is a 501(c)(3) organization currently run by volunteers. At this time, we are unable to offer monetary compensation to company members (although we hope to do so one day!). 

If you are a student, we may be able to offer internship credits for your contribution to the company.

Current Company Openings

Content Manager

PRIMARY DUTIES: 

  • Graphic design for social media posts, website, and other materials

  • Create Programs

  • Work with poster designer and marketing director to get show posters created

  • Maintaining and updating the website

OTHER DUTIES AS NEEDED: 

  • Assist with marketing emails

  • Copywriting for printed material

  • Assist with creating window displays, lobby displays, and photo op/mural walls (coordinate with dramaturg and artistic director)

  • Manage YouTube Channel

  • Organize captioning efforts (train, update how-to, proofread, etc.)

  • Assist Literary Manager with managing Blog

  • Maintain visual brand of AOTC with brand suite

  • Assist with maintaining donor displays on website and in lobby

TIME COMMITMENT: 

~4 hours/week, on your own schedule. Also expected to attend monthly company calls and other meetings as needed.

Patron Services Manager

PRIMARY DUTIES: 

  • Manage all patron-facing theater interactions and front-of-house duties

  • Answer general inquiry emails / forward inquiries to relevant company members.

  • Schedule house management / ushers

  • Work with content manager to set up and manage online ticketing

  • Purchase and refill box office concessions

  • Ensure masks are available for patrons for each performance

OTHER DUTIES AS NEEDED: 

  • Train house managers / ushers.

  • Ensure house managers fulfill responsibilities.

  • Fulfill patron ticketing requests

  • Manage Play-it-Forward program

  • Send out season ticket codes/information

  • Work with UVU’s TAG season tickets

  • Set up live captioning for performances

  • Ensure live captioning is provided on requested performances

  • Track concessions stock.

  • Manage merchandise for sale.

  • Report sales to finance.

  • Manage online store for season tickets/merchandise.

TIME COMMITMENT: 

~4 hours/week, on your own schedule. Also expected to attend monthly company calls and other meetings as needed.

Social Media Manager

PRIMARY DUTIES: 

  • Make regular social media posts.

  • Copywriting for social media, including captions, hashtags, and image descriptions.

  • Create events on Facebook and other social media platforms for productions.

  • Answer company social media messages.

  • Update social media platform banners/info.

OTHER DUTIES AS NEEDED: 

  • Post audition notices in social media groups.

  • Keep track of social usernames and passwords.

  • Schedule guest posters and account takeovers.

  • Social media strategizing/researching.

  • Gather quotes from others for social media purposes.

  • Gather photos from others for social media purposes.

TIME COMMITMENT: 

~4 hours/week, on your own schedule. Also expected to attend monthly company calls and other meetings as needed.

Marketing team

BENEFITS INCLUDE:

Financial Director

PRIMARY DUTIES: 

  • Handling all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions

  • Reconciling checking account on a monthly basis 

  • Maintaining custody of company debit card, Venmo phone, and cash box

OTHER DUTIES AS NEEDED: 

  • Work with Content Manager to maintain donor information on website (and possibly in lobby) 

  • Maintain communication with AOTC Leadership Team and Board of Directors on financial needs 

  • Assist treasurer with preparing and filing tax documents and preparing reports as needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bookkeeping experience or training

  • Familiarity with bookkeeping software (Quickbooks, Freshbooks, etc) 

TIME COMMITMENT: 

~4 hours/week, on your own schedule. Also expected to attend monthly company calls and other meetings as needed.

Marketing Director

PRIMARY DUTIES: 

  • Manage marketing team.

  • Determine overall marketing themes and strategies.

  • Advise marketing team members on their areas.

  • Call and lead marketing meetings.

  • Seek out and schedule media interviews.

  • Track marketing data.

  • Report data/trends to Executive Director

  • Send out reviewer requests.

  • Have posters printed.

  • Write and send press releases to media contracts.

OTHER DUTIES AS NEEDED: 

  • Organize all marketing contact info.

  • Gather quotes for marketing purposes.

  • Gather photos for marketing purposes.

  • Track content engagement.

  • Conduct and transcribe interviews for any press releases.

  • House manage one performance per production.

  • Have volunteers put posters up around the community.
